How to Create an Assessment in SimpliTrain
In SimpliTrain, an Assessment is a feature designed to evaluate a learner’s knowledge, skills, or progress in a specific course or training program. It enables instructors and organizations to assess the effectiveness of learning materials and measure learner comprehension.
Steps to Create an Assessment
- Navigate to the Assessment Creation Page
- Go to the “Create Assessment” option in the main menu.
- Fill in Assessment Details

- On the Create Assessment page, provide the following information:
- Organization: Choose the organization (Parent or Child) under which the assessment will be created (1).
- Assessment Type: Select “Default”(2) as the type (or an alternative type if required).
- On the Create Assessment page, provide the following information:
- Save the Assessment
- After entering all the necessary information, click the Save button to create the assessment.
Designing the Assessment
Once the assessment is created, you can design it by adding a questionnaire with questions and scoring criteria.
- Open the Design Option
- Locate the created assessment and click on the “Design”(3) button.
- Add Questions to the Assessment
- SimpliTrain allows you to include the following question types:
- Multiple Choice (Single Answer): The learner selects one correct answer.
- Multiple Choice (Multiple Answers): The learner selects multiple correct answers.
- SimpliTrain allows you to include the following question types:
- Set Correct Answers and Scoring
- For each question:
- Specify the correct answer(s).
- For each question:
- Finalize the Questionnaire
- After adding and configuring all questions, save the assessment design.
Additional Information
- Assessments can be linked to specific courses or classes to evaluate learner progress effectively.
- Each correct answer from a learner contributes to their overall score in the assessment.
By creating and designing assessments, organizations can provide a structured evaluation framework that enhances learning outcomes and ensures alignment with training goals.
